HUNGEXPO REBORN - GALA SYSTEMS / Gala Venue system construction
In the framework of the HUNGEXPO reconstruction the plenary chamber of the CK building received a Gala Venue event-specific reconfigurable hall.
The transformable hall contains a total of 8 preset positions. The operators may set up other unique positions as well.
The transformable hall can be divided into 3 parts into unique venues with the use of soundproofed walls.

The client requested the creation of a multipurpose event hall that enables conducting different types of events within a single day.
Other main aspects apart from the multipurpose construction were the possibility of a swift changeover, as well as operation with the least amount of staff and incremental costs.

The requirements were as follows:
► Swift changeover; between 10 and 50 minutes, along with auxiliary elements and mobile walls,
► Limitless automatic preprogramed configuration options,
► Different row height settings,
► Creation of seat groups.
During construction the state of the art Gala Venue seat system has been installed in the plenary chamber of the CK building, enabling the swift transformation of the location in accordance with requirements.
*GALA SYSTEMS / Gala Venue is a uniquely constructed venue technological device. The room can be isolated to three sectors using acoustic sliding walls, they altogether contain 2048 audience seats.
The system can position them in different patterns by moving the seat rows. Among others entirely flat arrangements, cinema-style orientations ascending in stages, open seat rows, or even seatless configurations can be created to customize the spaces.
The system contains unique electronic and mechanical solutions, including the Spiralift®-driven lifting devices placed into the 3-metre-tall understage below the seat system.

► Technological explanation
The event-specific reconfigurable *GALA SYSTEMS / Gala Venue system represents state of the art event technology, and can be customized to rearrange a location automatically within minutes from one configuration to the other, while providing the same “permanent feel” and quality as a fixed location.
With the Gala Venue system you can quickly and automatically transform an open auditorium to a tiered theatre with seats in any height, or transform a simple stage into a multi-level space with dynamic platforms and orchestral pits below floor level. Each configuration was created according to the requirements of the various audience and event types.
The Spiralift® self-guiding seat lifts using mechanical lifting columns within the Gala Venue system consists of units organized into unique rows, as well as built-in components that enable the reconfiguration of the stage and the audience between 10 and 20 minutes.

► The state of the art construction contains several seating configurations that can be entirely programmed via several touchscreen controls, that enable the seats to be transformed quickly, and with minimal human intervention.
A four-season congress centre has been constructed in Balatonfüred; during the erection of the congress centre we performed the entire stage technology design and construction.
