Tiszavirág Swimming Centre, Szeged / Omega timekeeping system installation
The assignment consisted of the installation and operation of sport technology equipment: timekeeping and scoreboard systems in the Tiszavirág Swimming Centre in Szeged.
Our tasks extended to the installation and setting up of a complete swimming and water polo timekeeping system with its supplementary accessories (shot clocks, touch pad, 30 OMEGA starting blocks) as well as an LED scoreboard system with its respective ProVideoPlayer (PVP) software.
We installed Swiss-manufactured OMEGA equipment complying with international standards, as well as a 24.57 square meter LED scoreboard with *P8 resolution, using **SMD technology along with shot clocks, in line with the international water polo regulations.
Since the competition pool is equally suitable for 25-meter short course competitions owing to the movable bulkhead, we have also built in a 2 x 1 meter mobile LED scoreboard. The mobile scoreboard is suited for displaying data parallel with the central scoreboard and the two can thus be synchronized.

*P value (pixel distance): The LED modules are made with light-weight diodes, spaced 1.8 to 10 mm apart. The P value represents the relative value of the diodes, expressed in millimetres both in the vertical and the horizontal direction.
**SMD: The new-generation, recessed, cube-shaped LEDs are durable, highly visible from a distance, and provide a more enjoyable visual experience.
